“The BMW X6 was the first of its kind model and the second generation once again perfectly combines quintessential BMW X qualities with elegance of a BMW coupe,” said Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India, in a release.

The all-new BMW X6 with the M Sport package sees BMW once again setting the benchmark for extravagant, emotive design, luxurious interiors and extensive customisation options, he added. The luxury model draws power from 3.0-litre, TwinTurb diesel engine which generates a peak power of 313 bhp at 4,400 rpm and maximum torque of 630 Nm that kicks in at 1,500 rpm and continues till 2,500 rpm.

Mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, the power train takes the new X6 from standstill to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds with the top speed limited at 240 km/h. BMW’s signature kidney grille, large air inlets, LED adaptive lights and L-shaped tail lights spice up the exterior while the interior boasts subtle elegance than its predecessor.

Dakota leather upholstery comes as standard with model, but customers can also choose Nappa leather. The ex-showroom price of the BMW X6 xDrive40d is Rs 1.15 crore. “The superior handling characteristics and thrilling driving dynamicsbends the laws of physics, instantly propelling this exceptional vehicle to its rightful position as the king of the road,” said Sahr.
