Chevrolet to launch Trailblazer this month

Chevrolet India is all set to launch its new premium SUV Trailblazer in India this month. According to recent reports the car will be launched around the second-half of October. While the company has been quite tight-lipped about the actual launch date, it will be around October 20 and 21. Additionally the SUV will likely get a price tag close to Rs 18 – 20 lakh.

Dimensionally the SUV measures 4,878 mm in length, 1,902 mm in width, 1,847 mm in height and 2,845 mm in wheelbase. In terms of design, like most of the flagship SUVs sold in India, the Trailblazer too comes with a humungous body coupled with subtle styling by Chevrolet.

The front end comes with Chevrolet’s signature two-piece grille and a big Chevy logo. Other features include stylish projector headlamps with integrated turn indicators, beefy bonnet and a muscular front bumper that houses the small round fog lamps with chrome borders, flared wheel arches and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Powering the India-bound Chevrolet Trailblazer will be a 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that is capable of producing 200 PS of maximum power and 500 Nm of peak torque. This engine will come mated to both a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission. The SUV will come with both Rear-Wheel drive and All-wheel drive option.
