Range Rover Sport SVR launched

The Range Rover SVR, an SUV that delivers racetrack performance has finally been launched in India for Rs 2.12 crore (Ex-showroom). The vehicle has been positioned in straight line of competition against Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG and the Porsche Cayenne3 Turbo S. The performance oriented machine with an aggressive stance indeed offers a strong proposition in its segment.

Under the hood, the Range Rover Sport SVR gets a 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine mated to 8-speed auto transmission with steering mounted pedal shifters that powers all four wheels and generates a massive 542bhp of peak power and 680Nm of crazy torque. The vehicle is capable of clocking a 0-100km/h in just about 4.5 seconds. However, owing to safety concerns, the top speed has been electronically restricted to about 261km/h.

For safety, the vehicle gets dynamic active rear locking differential, active oll Control system, hydraulic pump, air suspension, adaptive dampers and lighter construction for superior handling. The interiors are niche and available in 4 colour schemes. Moreover, it is comfortable and designed to handle all speeds and road conditions.
