Mahindra Two Wheelers has revealed a more powerful variant of the Gusto 110, in the form of the Gusto 125. As the name suggests, the Gusto 125 will be powered by a larger displacement engine and will be launched in February, after Auto Expo 2016.

The Gusto 125 looks near identical to the Gusto 110. Changes in styling include 125 badging on the side panels, new colour options and different body graphics.

Powering the new scooter is a 124.75cc four-stroke, air-cooled M-TEC engine capable of producing a peak 8.68bhp at 7,000rpm and 1.02kgm of torque at 5,500rpm. The gearbox is the same CVT unit as on the Gusto 110. Stopping power is provided by 130mm drum brakes, front and rear.

Mahindra says that the engine has been designed to offer best-in- class mileage though it has yet to reveal official efficiency figures. The Gusto 125 will come equipped with features such as a halogen headlamp with LED elements, 12-inch wheels with tubeless tyres, height adjustable seat and follow-me-home headlamps.
