Being showcased to gauge public interest in a premium C-Size hatchback, Hyundai i30 is based on Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture. If launched in India, it will sit above the existing range of i20 hatchback on offer.

New Hyundai i30 is available in petrol and diesel engine option. These are in the form of 1.4 liter diesel engine in three configurations offering 90 PS, 110 PS and a 1.6 liter engine offering 128 PS power. The petrol engine lineup includes a 1.4 liter engine offering 100 PS, a 1.6 liter engine offering 120 PS and 135 PS. Each of these engines is mated to 6 speed manual or 6 speed automatic transmission options.

2016 Hyundai i30 measures 4300mm in length, 1780mm in width and 1470mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2650mm. Boot space stands at 378 liters while with rear seats folded down, space is increased to 1316 liters. Exteriors are seen with a large grille with sharp headlights on either side. It also sports LED running lights, MacPherson strut susppension at the front and FlexSteer system.

Interiors receive a dashboard with silver accents while the top end model gets a panoramic sunroof, high-resolution TFT SuperVision instrument cluster and rain and light sensors. Driving modes include Comfort, Normal and Sport. Globally, Hyundai i30 competes with the likes of Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus.
