The hot hatchback is propelled by a 1.6-litre EcoBoost turbocharged direct injection petrol engine which belts out 200 PS and 288 Nm of torque. That’s 10% more power and 20% more torque than the Fiesta ST. Mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, the Fiesta ST200’s final drive ratio is made shorter than the ST for better in-gear acceleration.

As a result, the hatchback accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 6.7 seconds and has a top speed of 230 kmph. In addition to pumped up power plant, the Fiesta ST200 also incorporates numerous performance enhancing measures including improved torque vectoring control, 3-mode ESP, modified front steering knuckle, rear twist beam with increased roll stiffness, new front and rear damper settings with 15 mm lower centre of gravity, a sharper steering ratio, shorter steering arm and improved braking system with larger rear discs and tandem master cylinder.
