The 2017 Mercedes CLA facelift and CLA Shootingbrake facelift have been unveiled online ahead of their first public appearance at New York Auto Show next week. The updated sedan and estate offer minor styling revisions and equipment upgrades.

As expected, the duo receive the same set of enhancements that the A Class hatchback received last year. Cosmetic changes include standard diamond grille with glossy black finish, reprofiled bumpers, new alloy wheels, Multibeam LED headlights with new DRLs, revised taillight detailing, and new dual exhaust. The facelifted CLA will also be available in a new Cavansite Blue Metallic exterior color option.

The dashboard gets new trim options namely matte black ash wood, aluminium with honeycomb grain, and black DINAMICA microfibre. One can also choose from a range of seat cover options. The 8-inch COMAND infotainment system gets new glass cover style and is updated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity features.

The petrol engine lineup includes a 1.6- and 2.0-litre turbocharged mills which are available in a total of 7 states of tune, with power outputs ranging from 122 PS to 381 PS (CLA 45 AMG). The diesel engine lineup includes a 1.5- and 2.2-litre mills in two states of tune each. The outputs range from 109 PS to 177 PS.

The 2017 Mercedes CLA facelift is slated to go on sale in Germany in July before going on sale in rest of Europe. Launch in the US will happen in Q3 2016. We can expect the updated compact luxury sedan to reach our shores by early 2017.
