SsangYong Tivoli compact SUV expected to launch in India this year is currently on display at 2016 Bangkok Motor Show.
Only last month, Mahindra’s new SsangYong Tivoli was displayed at 2016 Auto Expo. Earlier this month, it was showcased in three new colours at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The manufacturer has now taken SsangYong Tivoli compact SUV to Bangkok. SsangYong Tivoli first came into the scene back at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The new crossover design draws from SsangYong XIV Air and XIV Adventure concepts.
SsangYong Tivoli crossover looks to tap into a young generation of buyers, and in India, it takes on Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and Maruti S-Cross.
New SsangYong Tivoli will be powered by petrol and diesel engine options. SsangYong Tivoli e-XDi 160 1.6 litre diesel engine offers 115 PS peak power and 300 Nm peak torque at 1,500 to 2,500 rpm. 1.6-litre petrol engine generates 126 bhp peak power and 160 Nm peak torque.
2016 SsangYong Tivoli crossover dimensions stand at a length of 4,195mm, width of 1,795mm in width and height of 1,590mm. The compact Tivoli SUV sits on a wheelbase of 2,600mm with ground clearance of 167mm ensuring vast and diverse terrains don’t act as a roadblock.
On the inside, bootspace on offer stands at 423 litres. A high roofline factors in ample headroom. Best in class infotainment and comfort features, are matched with a flat bottom setting wheel, dual zone climate controls, and steering mounted controls. Made of high tensile steel, safety features include airbags, ABS, and EBD among others.
