New X-Trail is inspired from Nissan’s new global design language. In the front it gets a new honeycomb grille with V-shaped chrome slats inside which the Nissan logo in chrome is housed. Headlight consists of projector lamps with LED DRLs, while circular foglights are encased in chrome. You can also see chrome strip on the lower bumper.

Side gets an aerodynamic stance with muscular wheel arches with plastic cladding, new alloys, flooting roofline, ORVM with integrated blinkers, and chrome door handles. Rear gets the Pure Hybrid emblem, highlighting that this is the hybrid variant and not a standard X-Trail SUV.

Powering the new Nissan X-Trail Hybrid is an intelligent pure hybrid powertrain. This consists of a 2.0 liter petrol four cylinder engine and a 30 kW electric motor. The petrol engine generates maximum power of 145 hp and 207 Nm while the electric motor delivers an additional 40 hp and 160 Nm. Transmission is taken care by a CVT, while mileage claimed is 20 kmpl.
