In Thailand, Ford EcoSport was launched in 2014. Here it is powered by a Duratec 1.5 liter Ti-VCT Flex-Fuel motor which generates 110 PS power at 6,300 rpm and a peak torque of 142 Nm at 4,400 rpm. Unlike India, there is no 1.0 liter EcoBoost or 1.5-liter diesel engine option on offer. But, they do get the 4×4 option, which is not on offer in India.

Speaking about the new Ford EcoSport Black Edition, it is based on the EcoSport facelift which went on sale a few months ago. As the name suggests, it gets a new Black exterior paint with a black grille and black lower bumper. The front also houses headlights with LED DRL, and foglights encased in a plastic casing.

Moving on to the side, easily evident are the new 16 inch alloys finished in piano black. The alloys also have Blue Ford hub caps. Rear design remains unchanged. Just like India, in Thailand too the EcoSport gets tailgate-mounted spare wheel.

On the inside, dashboard gets a dual tone treatment in a combination of black and grey. The same grey is also seen on the door panels, adding a bit of a contrast in the cabin. Seats are covered in the same black and grey combination.
