The car can accelerate from rest to 200 kmph in just 10.2 seconds. The Lamborghini Huracan Spyder LP 610-4 is all set to be launched in India on May 5. The topless supercar is the third Huracan variant to be launched in India, the first two being the regular LP 610-4 and the rear-wheel-drive LP 580-2.

Debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, the Huracan Spyder LP 610-4 employs a soft fabric top which can be deployed and retracted in 17 seconds within 50 kmph limit. With the soft-top on, the Spyder’s silhouette is different from that of the Coupe in the manner in which the roof blends into rear bodywork. Rest of the design are identical.

The Spyder continues to employ the Coupe’s 5.2-litre V10 naturally aspirated engine which is tuned to belt out a mind-numbing 610 PS at 8,250 rpm and a torque of 560 Nm at 6,500 rpm. A dual-clutch automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive system transfer the power to the road.

The open-top Lambo has a dry weight of just 1,542 kg. 0-100 kmph comes in 3.4 seconds (0.2 seconds slower than the Coupe) and 200 kmph from rest is despatched in 10.2 seconds. The supercar sports a top speed of 324 kmph.

Compared to its predecessor, the Gallardo Spyder, the Huracan Spyder is 40% stiffer and generates 50% more downforce.
