Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza compact SUV has seen outstanding demand ever since launch on 8th March 2016. Bookings have crossed the 75,000 mark while waiting period now stands at anything between 7-10 months.

This waiting period could be pushed ahead even further with the recent fire at Subros’ Manesar Facility, a leading supplier of air conditioners for Maruti Suzuki India Limited.

As on date, Maruti Vitara Brezza is second highest selling compact SUV in India behind Hyundai Creta. Top end variants ZDi and ZDi+ are in higher demand which can be due pricing the product aggressively.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza compact SUV is priced lower than Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300. It was noted that no sooner had Brezza been launched at INR 6.99 lakh to INR 9.68 lakh ex-showroom New Delhi, that Ford reduced pricing of EcoSport by INR 1.13 lakhs.

Brezza sales in April stood at 5,563 units while sales in May went upto 7,832 units. It is due to this increased demand that the company plans increased production of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza to the tune of 8,500 units per month or 1 lakh units per annum.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is powered by a 200 DDis 1248 cc engine offering 88.5 bhp power at 4000 rpm and 200Nm torque at 1750 rpm mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. The first model of the company to be wholly designed, developed and validated in India, the Brezza is offered in LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi, ZDi+ and ZDi+ variants.
