Price in India starts from INR 2.44 lakh.2016 Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 has been launched in Sri Lanka at a starting price of LKR 19.95 lakh (INR 9.27 lakh). Imported from India as a CBU, new Alto 800 rivals the likes of Renault Kwid, which debuted in Sri Lanka a few days ago.
Suzuki cars in Sr Lanka are distributed by their long time partner AMW Motors. In Sri Lanka it is offered in two variants, priced at LKR 19.95 lakh (INR 9.27 lakh) and LKR 20.15 lakh (INR 9.33).
New Alto 00 is seen with new styling in the front and two new colors – Mojito green and Cerulean blue. 2016 Suzuki Alto 800 will receive an attractive Aero Edge design with new bumper grille, refreshed interiors. It will be more fuel efficient than before with fuel efficiency at 24.7 kmpl.
Interiors will be more comfortable with overall length enhanced from 3395mm to 3430mm, offering extra head and shoulder room and added leg space at the rear. Seating will receive raised headrests while storage spaces will be at a premium. 2016 Alto also gets a few extra safety features with rear door child lock and better braking performance.
Increased demand for small cars in the 800cc to 1000cc capacity is noted following cut in Import Duty in Sri Lanka. This regulation has benefitted Maruti Suzuki to a greater extent as most of its offerings in Sri Lanka fall within this category.
