Two companies of the TVS Group have offered donations to the tune of INR 2 crores at the Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala.TVS Motor Company and Sundaram Clayton, both part of the TVS Group, have jointly offered a donation of INR 1 crore each to the Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala. The donations were made in the form of demand draft in the name of Talari Ravi, CEO of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams which looks into the day to day management of the shrine.

The demand drafts were handed over by CEO of TVS Motor Company, Mr. K N Radhakrishnan and CEO of Sundaram Clayton, Mr. T A Ranganathan to TTD Executive Officer D Sambasiva Rao inside the temple. Both companies have requested that this amount be used exclusively for the ‘Pilgrim Free Meal Scheme’ known as Sri Venkateswara Annaprasadam Trust.Richest temple in the world, the Tirupati Temple is part of Seshachalam Hills range in Andhra Pradesh. Visited by about 1 lakh devotees daily, it is the most visited holy place in the world. Also known as Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, it is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Vishnu. Construction of the temple completed in 300 AD, that means it is 1,716 years old.
