Datsun redi-GO in Nepal costlier than Hyundai Creta in India

India-made Datsun redi-GO has been launched by Pioneer Moto Corp, authorized dealers of Datsun India in Nepal. Here in Nepal, the latest Datsun car is offered in 5 attractive exterior colors of white, silver, grey, ruby and lime, same one’s like on sale in India.

New Datsun Redi-Go enters the entry level car segment in Nepal. Featuring a new-age design for the modern car buyer, redi-GO comes with Tall Boy styling, has high ground clearance of 185mm and added interior space while it boasts of Datsun PRO-SAFE7 safety pack.

High ground clearnace helps the car to tackle the hilly region of Nepal with ease. Datsun PRO-SAFE7 safety pack offers features such as short braking distance, high-strength body shell and good visibility with wider view of the road ahead. It also gets a driver airbag.

Engine specification on the Datsun redi-GO includes a 799cc iSAT –Intelligent Spark Automated Technology, three cylinder petrol engine offering 53 bhp power at 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm torque at 4,386 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox and promises fuel efficiency of 25.17 kmpl.

India-made Datsun cars have been selling in Nepal since 2014. Till date, the company has sold over 800 cars in Nepal. Price of Datsun Redi-Go in Nepal ranges from NPR 13.99 lakh to NPR 18.49 lakh (INR 8.75 lakh to INR INR 11.56 lakh). This makes the small car almost three times more expensive than its Indian price tag, thanks to high import duties and taxes.
