New BMW 5 Series 520d M Sport India price revealed

Locally manufactured at the BMW India plant in Chennai, the automaker today launched the new BMW 520d M (diesel).

BMW 520d M Sport is now available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 54 lakhs. Available in non-metallic Alpine White, and metallic Mediterranean Blue and Carbon Black, the M aerodynamics package and 18-inch M light alloys in double spoke design impact driving dynamics and fortify a powerful appearance.

On the inside, Dakota leather upholstery options are available in varied hues. Powerful air inlets add to its imposing front. Adaptive LED Headlights, ‘M’ badge on front wings and the door sill strip reinforce sporty packaging.

Electrically adjustable sports front seats combine lateral support and comfort. The M multifunction steering wheel makes for complete driver control. The 520d is powered by the new gen BMW TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder diesel 1995 cc engine generating max power output of 140 kW / 190 hp and torque of 400 Nm. A run from 0 to 100 km/hr takes 7.7 seconds, and top speed is pegged at 233 km/hr.

Eight-speed Steptronic transmission is available with steering wheel paddle shifters. Technologies in use include Intelligent Lightweight Construction, Auto Start-Stop, ECO PRO modes (ECOPRO, Comfort, Sport), Brake-Energy Regeneration, 50:50 Weight Distribution among others.
