Toyota Innova Crysta sales are not only beating estimates, but they are also breaking records. Innova Crysta is now the best-selling utility vehicle in India. Last month, sales of Toyota Innova Crysta stood at 7,800 units, and the month before that they were at 8,171 units – highest ever for Innova in India ever since it was launched in Jan 2009.
The new Toyota Innova Crysta, launched in May 2016, is currently offered in four variants – G, Gx, Vx, and Zx. It comes with two diesel engine options that includes 2.4 liter and 2.8 liter engines. The 2.4 liter engine produces 147 bhp power while the 2.8 liter unit generates 171 bhp peak power.
Both engines are mated to 5 speed manual gearbox as standard while a 6 speed auto gearbox is offered as an option on the 2.8 liter version. In addition to these two, Toyota India will launch a petrol engine option in a few days. Bookings for the Toyota Innova Crysta petrol have already opened across their dealerships.
Toyota Innova Crysta petrol will be powered by a 2.7-litre 4-cylinder Dual VVT-i petrol engine. This engine will generate 164 bhp power and 245 Nm torque. It will come in mated to two transmission options of 5 speed manual gearbox and 6 speed automatic while all other features will remain the same as seen on its diesel engined counterpart. The inclusion of a petrol variant will allow Toyota to sell the MPV in both Delhi and NCR.
2016 Toyota Innova Crysta MPV boasts of added comforts and features over its earlier counterpart. It comes in with a sturdier stance and more muscular design. It gets upmarket features that include a 4.2” TFT screen, leather wrapped steering wheel and lounge lighting. Features also include projector headlamps, push button start, smart key and leather upholstery.
