Spotted: Honda WR-V (Jazz Twist) crossover

Spy shots of 2016 Honda Jazz Twist (called as Fit Twist in Brazil) soft crossover have emerged once again from Brazil. The Jazz Twist is essentially a hatchback with rough road ensembles. It is expected to be called Honda WR-V upon launch.

New Jazz Twist variant of the previous gen hatchback was exclusive to the Brazilian market but given that the word crossover has gained traction throughout the world now, Honda could be considering to introduce the latest Jazz Twist in more international markets.

The test mule is heavily camouflaged thereby masking the differentiating visual elements but it’s not hard to imagine the add-ons. Almost certainly, the soft crossover based on the new gen Jazz hatchback will feature a rugged looking bumper, black underbody cladding, larger alloy wheels, roof rails, skid plates at both ends and so on. It could possibly get a slightly raised ride height to justify the crossover tag.

The interior is most likely to be derived from the hatchback without any changes but one can expect a few additional equipment and an exclusive color theme. Powertrain lineup too would be carried forward from the Jazz as it is.

n Brazil, the Honda Jazz Twist (Fit Twist) will pickup a fight against the likes of Hyundai HB20X. It remains to be seen if Honda Car India has plans to introduce a similar derivative in India to take on the VW Cross Polo, Fiat Avventura, Hyundai i20 Active and Toyota Etios Cross.
