Designed and developed in Sweden, Volvo V90 Cross Country is capable of tackling the most rugged of terrain and the most adverse climatic conditions.

It has proved its stance in a land where 77% of the region is covered by forests and lakes while it has been put to the test in weather conditions ranging from as low as -40 degrees centigrade to heat which rises above that seen in the Arizona desert.

Volvo V90 Cross Country sees an increase in height to 201mm as compared to 150mm ride height seen on the regular V90. It also receives 5th generation Borg Warner AWD as standard. Interiors are luxurious with high level of connectivity and entertainment features while infotainment system includes a high-end Bowers & Wilkins sound system. A 9” touchscreen with sat-nav is also evident as is a 12.3” TFT driver information display.

Engine specifications on board the V90 Cross Country has not yet been revealed. However, it is likely to carry forward the same engine range as seen on its on-road version with more powerful petrol and diesel engines along with a plug-in hybrid Twin Engine powertrain.

Volvo V90 Cross Country enters production at the company’s Torslanda plant in Sweden with first deliveries to commence from Q1 of 2017. The Volvo V90 Cross Country will also be launched in India and will be positioned between the S90 sedan and XC90 SUV. Pricing should fall in a range between INR 60 – 65 lakhs.
