HONDA HAS CONFIRMED TO BRING THE PRODUCTION MODEL OF ITS FIRST ADVENTURE SCOOTER, THE X-ADV, AT THE 2016 EICMA IN NOVEMBER.

Honda Motorcycles has announced that its first adventure scooter, the X-ADV, will be going into production. The Japanese automaker also confirmed that it is going to make the public debut of the scooter's production model at the upcoming 2016 EICMA in the month of November. The Honda X-ADV is a crossover scooter based on the City Adventure concept, which was also showcased at EICMA last year.

The company has already released some pictures and videos of the Honda X-ADV to provide a glimpse of this one of its kind machine. Most probably, it will be the first scooter with the capability of going on and off roads and providing an all-round performance.

Taking the inspiration from the versatile Honda NC700X, the X-ADV scooter will provide a blend of practicality and comfort. Seating position will be kept upright for better visibility and the suspension travel will also be longer to deal with various type of terrains. Wind protection will be provided by a 5-stage adjustable windscreen and an LED headlight unit will be provided for better illumination. There will be storage space under the adjustable seat and dual sport tyres will provide traction on varying surfaces.

It hasn't been confirmed yet, but the Honda X-ADV is likely to get the 670cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor which powers the NC700X, NM4 and many other middleweight Hondas. The company has also confirmed the DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission) for its upcoming adventure scooter. This is all we have for now, and the full technical details of the product will be available at the 2016 EICMA.
