As per Yamaha, the Saluto has been developed around the concept of an ‘Economical & Practical Indian Family Motorcycle’. Powering the bike is an air-cooled 125cc engine which is based on the Blue Core Engine Development, ideal for an optimum performance. The motor makes just 8.3PS of power, which is the least in the category, but delivers a decent peak torque of 10.1Nm. However, the performance has been compensated with the lowest weight in its class. With a wet weight of just 113 kg, the Saluto claims to offer a fuel efficiency of 78kmpl.
