Jaguar Land Rover India currently has 23 authorized retailers in India. Compared to the likes of Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW that’s not a very big number. JLR is expanding its footprint, but in the meantime, the Tata-subsidiary has introduced two online portals to reach out to a wider customer base.

The brand’s online sales portals will allow customers to get a quotation, schedule test drives or even book the car of their choice online by paying a deposit amount of around Rs 40,000. Through the websites, customers can also choose an appropriate financing option with an EMI and downpayment scheme suitable for them. Product options and details will be available onfindemeacar.in for Jaguar vehicles and findmeasuv.in for Land Rover’s range.

Online booking options are a popular concept, but while this move does expand JLR’s reach in India, prospective buyers should bear in mind that the process beyond booking won’t be much different. Even the booking amount is transferred directly to the chosen retailer’s account. Should you chose to cancel your booking, the paid amount will be returned in 21 working days, but a 10 per cent convenience fee will deducted from the amount paid.

While these portals have been live for a while, JLR is looking to publicize them owing to the onset of more product launches. Jaguar just launched the 2nd-generation XF in India powered by both petrol and diesel engines with prices starting at Rs 49.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Additionally, the F-Pace is expected to hit dealerships in October with only the diesel versions available at launch.
