The good reception received by the Toyota Camry Hybrid comes as a further boost in confidence for any automaker who is looking to introduce a premium hybrid car.

The new Accord Hybrid is expected to be imported into India in the form of CKD kits and assembled locally to take advantage of the tax structures. Currently in its ninth generation, the Honda Accord Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine which puts out 141 bhp and an electric motor which takes the combined power output to 196 bhp. The system torque stands at a little over 300 Nm. An electronic CVT transfers drive to the front wheels.

The Honda Accord Hybrid for India is expected to be equipped with upmarket features like LED headlamps, multiple airbags and a host of driver assistance systems. New Honda Accord Hybrid will be launched in India on 25th October. Price, variants and more details will be revealed on the same day.
