This festive season has brought joy for Hyundai as the South Korean automotive manufacturer has registered record sales in October 2016. Hyundai Motor India registered highest-ever domestic sales with 50,016 units, with a growth of 6.4 per cent over October 2015. This comes after a good September, with a growth of 17.4 per cent over September 2015. Hyundai has also received 1,509 bookings for the Elantra sedan which was launched in August 2016.

In October 2016, Hyundai Motor India sold 50,016 units in the domestic market and exported 14,356 units. This is Hyundai India's record cumulative sales of 64,372 units. Commenting on the October sales, Mr Y K Koo, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India, said, “Hyundai with a highest-ever domestic volume of 50,016 units registered record cumulative sales of 64,372 units in October 2016. Hyundai achieved the highest and fastest domestic sales of 50,000 units mark within 15 months from the earlier milestone of 40,000 units.” He added, “The recently launched all-new Elantra, received an overwhelming response with 1,509 bookings resulting in 4-5 months waiting period, we thank our customers for showing confidence in Brand Hyundai.”

Hyundai had offers on all its cars in the festive season, which has helped them register record growth. Also, Hyundai has released the official sketches of its upcoming SUV, the Tucson which will be launched on November 14 and will be placed between the Creta and the Santa Fe. The Tucson comes with a 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine and will rival the Mahindra XUV500 in the Indian market. Expect the prices to begin around the Rs 18 lakh mark.
