New Toyota Fortuner goes under the knife at DC Design Studio

Launched just a month ago, the interiors of new Toyota Fortuner post the DC Lounge treatment is nothing less than a private jet. Finished in beige and subtle red, the interiors feature only two passenger seat in the rear. Yes, instead of the 7 seater arrangement, the one from DC Design comes with only a 4 seat arrangement.

It is the rear portion where DC Design has worked the most. The two rear seats come with full body massage functionality. The seats itself are believed to have costed INR 2 lakh each. The passenger and driver cabin have been separated.

To give the cabin a more premium appeal, there are wood inlays on the door panel. In addition this, there is a large LED TV with state of the art speaker system for your entertainment. You can control the TV with the flick of a button next to the arm rest to watch your favourite movies, shows, etc, or listen to music. Other features include reading lamps, mic to speak with driver, ambient lights, etc.

Not much has changed on the outside. Exteriors are made to look even tougher thanks to the thick body cladding on the fenders and bumpers. It also gets a new matte black chunky side step, making the SUV look bulkier.

Coming back to the product, 2016 Fortuner is powered by a 2.8-litre diesel engine which is capable of 179.4 PS and 450 Nm of torque. You also have the option to buy a petrol engine in the form of 2.7 liter generating 164 hp and 250 Nm torque. Both motors are mated either to a manual or automatic transmission.
