The fastest Octavia ever - Skoda Octavia RS 245 announced

Based on the new Skoda Octavia RS, the new Octavia RS 245, will debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show next month. It is powered by the same 2.0l petrol TFSI, but delivers 245 PS, 15 PS more than the current fastest Octavia – the RS 230.

It is available as a sedan as well as a wagon. Apart from power, torque output too has been increased by 20 Nm to a total of 370 Nm. This means that the new Skoda Octavia RS 245 is as powerful as the VW Golf GTI Performance.

Apart from extra power, the new Skoda Octavia RS 245 also gets something which will make it even more fun while you are attacking those corners. In Skoda’s terms, Octavia RS 230 gets “electronically controlled differential front axle lock” which will assist driver’s in dynamic cornering. This comes as standard.

Added power and this new tech translates into 0-100 kmph acceleration time of 6.6 seconds, and a top speed of 250 kmph. This makes Skoda Octavia RS 245, the fastest Octavia till date. To match the sporty car, Skoda designers have also made some design changes on the exterior, like the new alloys, a spoiler on the bootlid, a red strip across the rear bumper, and some sporty interiors.

New Octavia RS 245 also comes with added safety, a new 9.2 inch infotainment system which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Sadly, the three images you see above are the only one’s released by Skoda. More images and info will be revealed when the car makes public debut at the next month’s Geneva Motor Show.
