India is one of the country where this new Jeep will be manufactured. Fiat’s Ranjangaon plant near Pune has already started working towards developing the production line for this new Jeep SUV.

India alone is expected to produce about 60,000 units of new Jeep Compass at their Pune plant. These will be also exported to Europe and many countries in Asia. Price in the US starts from $22,090 (INR 14.72 lakh) for the base variant while that of the top end variant stands at $30,990 (INR 20.65 lakh). In India Jeep Compass is expected to be priced in the range of INR 20-25 lakh.

New Jeep Compass sports enhanced performance and better fuel efficiency. Measuring 4,410mm in length, 1,820mm in width and 1,640mm in height, 2017 Jeep Compass sits on a 2,630 mm long wheelbase. Engine options will include two four cylinder engines of which one will be a 2.0 liter Tigershark flex fuel gasoline unit offering 166 hp and the other, a 2.0 liter Multijet II turbo diesel engine capable of 170 hp mated to a 9 speed automatic transmission.

2017 Jeep Compass petrol option will be offered in front wheel drive in Sport, Longitude and Limited trims while the diesel option on the Longitude and Trailhawk trims are 4 wheel drives. New alloy wheels, enhanced suspension, special performance tyres and better interior comforts will all be evident on the new Jeep Compass.
