The Xcent, which replaced the Accent sedan in the country, made its global debut at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo in February and was subsequently launched in March. Now, let\'s find out what Hyundai has done with the 2017 Hyundai Xcent aesthetically.
The Xcent Facelift Features A Slightly Different Front Profile, Which Differentiates It From That Of The 2017 Grand I10.
The 2017 Hyundai Xcent has been spied ahead of it launch on April 20. The mid-cycle update of the Xcent follows that of its donor car, the Grand i10 (launched in February 2017). Like before, the Xcent facelift will go up against the Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire, Honda Amaze, Tata Zest (Tata Tigor as well), Ford Figo Aspire and the Volkswagen Ameo.
The front profile of the 2017 Hyundai Xcent gets Hyundai’s new Cascading grille, which is also present on the 2017 Grand i10, Elantra and the upcoming Hyundai Verna. The grille in the updated Xcent is slightly wider and protrudes as opposed to the Grand i10's, and it also gets slats instead of mesh pattern in the latter. The redesigned bumper looks very much like the upcoming Verna and imparts a wider appearance to the compact sedan. Like the 2017 Grand i10, the Xcent also receives daytime running LEDs, placed in the fog lamp housing.
The rear profile of the 2017 Xcent has also been updated thoroughly. To begin with, the updated compact sedan gets new split wrap-around tail lamps, which puts it in line with other sedans from Hyundai. It also gets a redesigned rear dual-tone bumper and a new chrome strip, which is flanked by the tail lamps.
Besides these updates, it will also get a brand new 1.2-litre diesel engine, a different set of alloys and additional features that were introduced in the Grand i10 facelift.
