Google rolls out Kawasaki Ninja 400 unveiled

First, the Ninja 250 evolved into the 300 and now it’s the 300’s turn to evolve into 400. Ladies and Gentleman say hello to the all-new Kawasaki Ninja 400. Kawasaki has taken the wraps off the Ninja 400 at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.

The 2018 Ninja 400 will replace the Ninja 300 in international markets and India as well.

Lookswise the Ninja 400 borrows design cues from the flagship Ninja H2. The bodywork on the Ninja 400 makes it look significantly larger and wider than its predecessor. The dual headlamps have grown in size and are now all LED units. The alloy wheels get a new design, the exhaust is all-new and bigger in size. There is also a new LCD instrument panel and a thicker seat foam.

The lightweight trellis frame contributes to weight-savings and the Ninja 400 weighs just 168 kgs (wet), which is a good six kgs lighter than the Ninja 300 it replaces. Other features the bike gets are a gear position indicator, LED tail-lights, chin spoilers and tail-cowl.

Housed inside the full-fairing is an all-new 400cc twin-cylinder engine that punches out 45 HP of power at 10,000 RPM and 38 Nm of torque at 8000 RPM. The motorcycle also features assist-and-slipper clutch. The Ninja 400 uses disc brakes at both ends to do braking duties, while ABS ensures the bike remains safe on wet and slippery roads.
