Tips To Keep Your Skin Happy During Flights

Melbourne: Frequent flying can be harsh on your skin, eyes and lips, but with the right techniques you can overcome such issues, according to an expert.
Emirates' Image and Uniform Training Manager, Helen Roxburgh , asserted that the skin can get a bit dry in the aircraft so hydration sprays, drinking a lot of water, and avoiding caffeine and alcohol, can help maintain the moisture balance of skin, News.com.au reported.
Helen Roxburgh insisted that eyes can also get dry and irritated due to the low humidity levels in the plane, and you should talk to your local chemist or doctor about eye products before you leave home.
For those who wear contact lenses, Helen Roxburgh recommends removing them for air travel and opting for glasses instead.
The use of lip gloss or lipstick that contains gloss isn't recommended, as this can cause the colour to wear off, Helen Roxburgh said.
Helen Roxburgh added that for men, shaving before each flight can irritate the skin and cause dryness, so one of the key tips is the use of a shaving oil to help soften the hairs and moisturize the area.
She also suggests resting on flights to avoid looking tired when you arrive at your destination.
