Taaha Shah’s portrayal as Jai (younger brother to Siddharth Malhotra) in the ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ won him brownie points. He says, “I had to portray three different roles a boyish, Japanese and an elderly man. It’s a powerful role and it has liberated me as an actor. When I was shooting in London, I went to a Japanese restaurant and learnt the language for one of my roles. I did research for the roles and eventually followed the director’s instructions. Working with Katrina Kaif and Siddharth has been a great experience, and I’m happy my work is also being appreciated,” he quips.

The UAE-born is in awe of Katrina. “I like her sense of humor. I bonded greatly with her during the shoot. She’s calm and composed on the sets but when it comes to performance, she reserves all her energy and amazingly peaks at the right time,” Taaha describes.

The former entrepreneur states that his corporate work experience came in handy to counter filmi dynamics.

“Cinema is a business and with all entrepreneurial experience I learnt how to better put things in perspective, deal with emotions, monetary issues, etc. All these only made me to be a better actor,” he reveals.
