Film Director Baapu is No more..RIP.
“Baapu” a famous person in the Indian film industry expired today evening while undergoing the treatment at Malar Hospitals in Chennai.
Baapu’s actual name is Sattiraju Lakshmi Narayana born on December 15, 1933 at Narasapuram in West Godavari District and Passed away on August 31, 2014.
He was been sick since few days with mild Heart Attack and died today evening in Chennai.
80 year old Baapu is a music artist, painter, illustrator, cartoonist, and designer. In 2013, he was awarded the Padma Shri, for his contribution to Indian art and cinema.
He directed in many languages of 51 films. The last film he directed was Sriramarajyam, starring Balakrishna and Nayanatara.
Baapu won two National Film Awards, five Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards, two Filmfare awards for Best Director for Telugu films Seeta Kalyanam & Vamsa Vruksham and a Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award – South for the year 2012.
