Syndicate Bank Q4 net up

Hyderabad: Syndicate Bank posted 92 per cent upsurge in its net profit for Rs 592.34 crore in the fourth quarter last fiscal on account of lower provisioning and contingency measures. The bank reported net profit of Rs 309.43 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

Total income increased by eight per cent to Rs 4,780.75 crore in the fourth quarter. For the full financial year ended on March 31, 2013, the state-owned bank's net profit rose by 68 per cent to Rs 2,206.39 crore.
