"The Pantero has been engineered to meet the exacting demands of the commuter segment in terms of reliability, performance and functionality. We expect the new variant to consolidate our position in the country's bike market," Dharmendra Mishra, Vice President Sales & Customer Care, Mahindra Two Wheelers, told media here after launching the new variant. We also offer value for money products and this new Pantero variant is another step in this direction, offering customers some exciting features like LED pilot and tail lamps, and a fully digital dashboard, all at a very competitive price tag, he added. The two-wheeler maker has targeted the new bike at young first time buyers who are looking for a comfortable riding experience. Replying to query, Mishra stated that scooters constituted bulk of the company sales. "With India two-wheeler market being dominated by motorcycle segment, we expect decent sales contribution from Pantero. Therefore, going forward, the ratio between bike and scooter sales will alter," he explained.
