Infosys losing top executives

Paul Gottsegen in September this year quit Infosys, where he was the chief marketing officer. He has joined Mindtree as senior vice-president and chief marketing and strategy officer.

Infosys has been hit by a few senior level exits ever since co-founder NR Narayana Murthy returned to helm the company in June this year. Commenting on the churn in senior management ranks, Murthy said he is not worried and Infosys has a full bench of senior managers to fill in any gaps. Here are a few senior management exits Infosys has seen in the past few months.
Infosys on November 18 announced that Stephen R Pratt, head of utilities and resources for North America, resigned from the company. Mr Pratt's last day with Infosys will be January 31, 2014. Mr Pratt, who had joined Infosys in 2004, was also a member of the company's executive council, its highest decision making body. He was the highest-paid executive in Infosys, taking home a total compensation of $2.13 million (over Rs 11 crore) in the previous fiscal and received over $1.3 million in bonus/incentive. Weeks after NR Narayana Murthy returned to Infosys in June this year, the country's second largest software exporter saw its global sales and marketing head Basab Pradhan quitting the company. Pradhan, who was the member of Infosys executive council, said he is planning to start his own venture. "Leaving Infosys to go back to the start-up world. To all my friends at Infosys, please stay in touch," Pradhan had tweeted. Mr Pradhan has joined California-based cloud computing start-up CliQr Technologies as President and CEO. In August this year, Ashok Vemuri, who was widely considered to be a contender for the top job at Infosys, put hits papers at Infosys. Ashok Vemuri was as a member of Infosys board and head of Americas and Global Head of Manufacturing and Engineering Services. Mr Vemuri is now the president and CEO of iGATE Corporation and also a member of its board.

In September this year, Infosys saw yet another high profile exit with its BPO head for Latin America Humberto Andrade quitting the company. Mr. Andrade's profile on professional network site LinkedIn states his current work profile as Capgemini Vice President, Consumer Products/Retail/Distribution BPO - Americas.
Also in September this year, Kartik Jayaraman, who was heading Infosys BPO sales in Australia, quit and has reportedly joined outsourcing major Accenture.
