India’s budget carriers SpiceJet and Indigo have cut air fares for travel bookings made between March 12 and 16 ahead of the festive season.
With an intention to attract more travelers, SpiceJet announced a ‘Super Holi Sale’, a five-day offer that is valid for travel between April 1 and June 30, 2014.
“Fares start from Rs 1,999 all inclusive on select flights. Lowest fares are for bookings made 90 days prior to travel, and all bookings under this offer cannot be clubbed with any other existing offer,” according to SpiceJet website.
To match the discount on air fares, Indigo also offered a bid to influence travelers to book their tickets in advance by slashing fares on select routes. This marks as the fourth round of discount on air tickets in about two months.
