Hyderabad: Consumer electronics giant LG Electronics has lined up over 50 new television models during the current fiscal as it intends to increase the total sales in the home entertainment segment by 25 per cent to Rs 5,300 crore. “The total revenues from home entertainment segment which includes TVs stood at around Rs 4,000 crore last year. We expect the revenues to go up by 25 per cent to Rs 5,300 crore, driven by the new launches which include 25 new smart TV models,” Rishi Tandan, Marketing Head-HE, LG Electronics, told media on the sidelines of India Gadget Expo 2014 here.

He said the company would also increase its market share in flat and ultra HD TVs segments. “We expect our market share in flat TVs to increase to 30 per cent from the present 23 per cent and from 40 per cent to 50 per cent in ultra HD TV segment,” he said.

In addition, the company would launch WebOS smart TV platform in the country. “We will launch new series of full HD and other smart TVs based on the new platform which makes TV viewing simple and easy,” he said.
