“We are close to announcing our new industrial policy which will have an excellent single window clearance system for granting speedier and hassle-free approvals for new investments,” the Chief Minister said here after inaugurating the Phase 2.1 office building of WaveRock IT Park developed by Tishman Speyer, a New York-based global realty developer. The CM also laid foundation for Waverock Phase 2.2 development which will involve investment of Rs 250 crore.

Assuring zero-corruption governance and promising VIP treatment to the investors, he said under the new policy, clearance to new investments and industrial units would be given with three to four weeks of receiving the proposals. “My protocol officer will wait at the airport, receive the investors and bring them directly to my office. Investors can go back after submitting their proposals and they will receive a call from us within three to four weeks by which time all the clearances will be waiting for them,” Rao explained.

He further said a ‘Chasing Cell’ had been set up in the Chief Minister’s Office to closely monitor the investments. Rating India as key market for Tishman Speyer, Jerry Speyer, the company’s chairman and co-CEO, said a total of Rs 1,050 crore was being invested in the Waverock IT Park which would have 20 lakh sft of office space once completed.
