They can simply check the product availability and price with a message and order on the go with our app,” says Hari Chava, the company’s founder and CEO. Using the app, people can order food and, groceries, in addition to booking appointments with spas, salons, clinics and doctors. They can also reserve tables in restaurants and rooms in hotels all with just a message, he said.

The company handles entire order life cycle from receiving orders to home delivery of the goods with support for cash-on-delivery. “There is no minimum order restriction for orders on Whizzle. Users can enquire or order anything from any of their favorite businesses,” Chava, an ISB alumnus. According to him, Whizzle has its own delivery teams in Gachibowli, Kondapur, Madhapur, Kukatpally, Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills. It plans to expand the network to across Hyderabad soon.

The app has already notched up over 3,000 downloads with over 350 daily active users and 1400 weekly active users. “We receive 100 to 150 enquiries per day and of them, nearly 80 per cent translate into orders with average ticket size of around Rs 250,” he explained. Buoyed by the positive response in Hyderabad, the startup is planning to expand its operations to Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru over the next three months. It is also looking to raise funds for expansion.
