Shri. Prakash Javadekar, Hon’ble Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change presented the award to Shri. V. Udaya Bhaskar, CMD, BDL at the 17th World Congress on Environment Management held at New Delhi on 11th July 2015. BDL has bagged this prestigious award for first time in Environment Management.
BDL implemented green initiatives like zero liquid discharge system, hazardous waste disposal and energy conservation by installing solar panel etc.
The awards, instituted by Institute of Directors, are presented to various sectors recognizing achievements in the field of Environment Management.
