Hyderabad: Uninor on Wednesday launched the India chapter of Digital Winners (DW) 2015 - a platform that enables youth in India to innovate mobile internet based solutions for Indian consumers. Under this programme, the company is inviting mobile application developers to showcase their mobile apps that can impact the society and have a potential to change lives of mass market consumers.

The theme for this year’s contest is ‘Education’. Participation is open to budding entrepreneurs and app developers, to submit innovative apps that have the potential to build a platform for mass education. “Digital Winners is an initiative to take forward our mission of ‘Internet for all’. It is a testimony to our commitment to innovation and relevant services that really matter to the customers.

Through this initiative, Uninor aims to recognize tech innovators and encourage entrepreneurship in the country,” said Srinath Kotian, Circle Business Head – TS & AP, Telewings Communications Services. The winner of Digital Winners will get an opportunity to represent India at the Digital Winners Conference at Oslo in October 2015.

He will participate in the ‘Best App in Asia’ contest along with representatives from other Asian markets of Telenor and stand a chance to win cash prize of Nok 100,000 (Rs 7.8 lakh).
