Hyderabad: Tata Nano has achieved yet another milestone with Dr Varun Vagish, an adventurist from West Bengal, driving the world’s cheapest car to the Base Camp of Siachen Glacier in Ladakh, the highest battlefield on Earth.

This feat was accomplished with Tata Nano covering 7,000 kms in 20 days in a journey which started from the adventurist’s hometown of Asansol in West Bengal. In the process, the mini car climbed world's highest motorable pass of Khardong La (18,380 feet) and several other passes like Chang La, Zozi La, Fotu La and Namik La.

Vagish in his Tata Nano has traversed the most rugged terrains and erratic weather conditions in this journey. The Nano triumphed against all odds and emerged a winner at the end of this test of endurance and reliability,” Tata Motors said in a release.
