In 2014 Russian fuel company TVEL belonging to SC Rosatom, signed a number of new contracts with its foreign partners worth more than $3bn. It became clear as the company published its annual financial report. Total company’s revenue in the last year amounted to RUB 137.962 bn (about $ 2.154 bn) which is much more than in 2013 – the difference is about RUB 6.526 bn ($ 101.8mln). About 70% revenue comes from foreign sales. TVEL’s export in 2014 came to $ 1.5 bn.

“We have what to be proud of: although the foreign-policy situation is difficult, we succeeded in expanding our presence on foreign markets”, stated Aleksandr Markovich Lokshin, Chair of Board of Directors of TVEL. 52.3% of revenue comes from fuel realization in Europe, 42.7% - from the internal Russian market, 5% - from sales in Asia. According to Aleksandr Markovich, at the end of 2014 the ten years' portfolio of TVEL amounted to more than $10 bn.

TVEL’s gross profit in 2014 came to RUB 44.663 bn ($ 698 mln), increasing by RUB 5.035 bn ($ 78.8 bn) in comparison with the year 2013.

“Special attention was paid to industrial science, which is imposed by a necessity to hold company’s own on the highly competitive market and to ensure company’s secure future”, said Yury Aleksandrovich Olenin, President of JSC TVEL. According to him, “technologies of zero fault level, extended operation cycle of the assemblies and possibility to increase reactor’s capacity altogether constitute only a part of significant results of research and construction subdivisions’ performance within the whole division’s work. Successful realization of “Proryv” project (“Breakthrough” project) and tests of experimental assembly for BREST-300 reactor may also be named here”.

At the end of 2014 JSC TVEL stands its leading ground in uranium enrichment with its 36% share on the global market. At the same time TVEL ended the year 2014 having a 17% share on the world market of nuclear fuel production.

JSC TVEL was founded on September 12, 1996 pursuant to the Decree of the President of Russia. It is a part of the State Corporation Rosatom. TVEL includes companies dealing with nuclear fuel fabrication, uranium conversion and enrichment, gas centrifuge production as well as research and construction organizations. It’s the only nuclear fuel supplier to Russian NPPs. JSC TVEL provides nuclear fuel for 77 power reactors in 15 countries in the world, research reactors in 9 countries in the world and transport reactors of the Russian nuclear fleet. 1 out of 6 power reactor works on nuclear fuel produced by TVEL.
