Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company, a joint venture between Tata Motors and Japan’s Hitachi, has launched Zaxis Gi Series hydraulic excavators in India. Showcased at Excon 2015 exhibition recently, the new product range is expected to provide a quantum leap in the way excavation works are being carried out in mining and infrastructure space.
Powered by reliable and fuel-efficient engines, the hydraulic excavators come with features such as third generation human & intelligent operation system (HIOS-III), auto idle, power modes, work modes and longer change intervals of consumables. It also boasts ICX, a data controller and boom swivel, among others.
However, what puts Zaxis GI series ahead of its contemporaries is ConSite, the next-generation service solution powered by IT. It closely monitors machines’ operational status and alarms, ensuring that the customer has optimally tuned machines to meet their specific needs by sending monthly operational reports and notifying emergency alarms via email.
