Idealo predicts 28% price fall for Samsung Galaxy S7 in six months!

Samsung Galaxy S7 has been the talk of the town in the last couple of months. Finally, putting an end to the speculations, Samsung unveiled the latest flagship model for its successful Galaxy S generation at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. While the official price of Galaxy S7 for the Indian market is not available yet, idealo has analyzed the price development of the earlier Galaxy models in order to establish a basis for a price forecast for the new Galaxy S7. Some of the key observations from the Galaxy S series price analysis are as follows.

For all models from S3 to S6, the prices have fallen by an average 18% in just three months from launch. In just six months, the S6 was available for almost 2/3rd of the launch price. Galaxy S7, in accordance to our price forecast, may witness a price decline of around 28% after six months.

With the arrival of a third variant, the Galaxy S6 Edge + in September 2015, the S6 Edge further lost its way, while the S6 managed to hold its throne during the biggest shopping season of the year.

On variants front; the individual color and memory, a similar demand distribution is observed for all three S6 models: The models with a storage capacity of 32 GB are consistently the most popular, as well as the models in black.
