Hyderabad: SanDisk Corporation which is into flash storage solutions on Tuesday launched SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick, thus expanding its mobile memory storage solutions range.

The wireless drive, available up to 200GB of capacity, comes with an intuitive app which facilitates transfer of photos and videos wirelessly, stream HD movies and music to up to three devices simultaneously, share content with multiple devices at one go, and automatically back up the camera roll, all via password-protected Wi-Fi connectivity.

The drive comes in capacities from 16GB with prices ranging from Rs 2,390 to Rs 9,990. “With more content being consumed on multiple handheld devices, we realised that there is a need to reinvent our category of mobile memory solutions,” said Jagannathan Chelliah, Director, Marketing – India and Saarc, SanDisk, after launching the new device.

The new wireless drive, compatible with iOS and Android, is designed to meet the growing storage needs of today’s generation, he added. According to him, SanDisk currently enjoys a 37 per cent share of the 90-million-unit memory solutions retail market in India, which includes flash, USB, microSD and camera cards.
