Hyderabad: K V Chowdary, Central Vigilance Commissioner, inaugurated Banker’s Club of Hyderabad at an event organised at the head office of State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) in the city.

Speaking on the occasion, Chowdary emphasised on the key role the Bankers’ Club could play in various facets of banking by developing uniform cross checks and clearly defining key areas that could prevent avoidable frauds.

Santanu Mukherjee, MD, SBH and Suresh N Patel, MD & CEO, Andhra Bank, also addressed the gathering comprising senior officials working in various banks, NABARD as well as RBI in the twin cities

SBH MD appreciated the guidance of CVC in areas related to preventive vigilance. Andhra Bank MD said that the role of Bankers’ Club should not be limited to formal meetings only.

The club will be a forum for senior bank officers of the twin cities to exchange ideas and interact with each other and discuss issues of interest to the banks as well as issues related to the development of Telangana.
