Gurgaon-based solar power player ACME has won a 150-Mw solar bid conducted by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) in Andhra Pradesh and a 50-Mw tender called for by NTPC in Telangana. 

Hyderabad: Gurgaon-based solar power player ACME has won a 150-Mw solar bid conducted by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) in Andhra Pradesh and a 50-Mw tender called for by NTPC in Telangana.

The company will commission the Andhra Pradesh project within 13 months from the date of signing the power purchase agreement (PPA) with SECI. This project will generate approximately 7,500 million units (mu) during its 25-year tenure and supply power to the AP distribution companies (discoms) through SECI, it said in a statement on Friday.

According to ACME, the project in Telangana will be commissioned within 3 months from the date of signing the PPA with NTPC. The project is expected to generate around 2,500 mu during its 25-year tenure.

“After bagging this tender, our overall portfolio has expanded to 1,519 Mw,” said Manoj Kumar Upadhyay, Founder and Chairman of ACME. ACME aims to commission 960 Mw of projects by March 2017 and generate 7,500 Mw by 2019, the company said in the release.
