Hyderabad: Electrical consumer production and power distribution equipment maker, Havells India Limited, is planning to capture a 10 per cent share of the automation solutions market with revenues of Rs 100 crore from the segment by 2020.

Announcing the company’s foray into the automation and smart solution business segment with the launch of integrated automation and control solutions for homes, offices and hotels under its Cabtree brand on Friday, Havells India Vice-President Vivek Yadav said the launch of Crabtree integrated automation and control solutions came at an opportune time when India was expected to witness rapid upgrade of urban infrastructure enabled by widespread use of IT.

“The domestic market size of the automation solution industry is estimated to be Rs 500 crore, which is currently growing at around 25 per cent annually. With the automation solution business, Havells is set to tap into the hitherto unexplored opportunities,” Yadav said.

Besides offering the entire automation range to individual customers, Havells will look to tie up with architects, consultants, builders and developers and offer its gamut of products and services. So far, Havells has not explored this segment, he added.
