Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has revealed that it will be launching a dedicated Mi Community in India on June 20. The company has already started accepting registrations for the community beta testers, and the beta forum will go live on June 14.

The company also revealed that the forum will work in the same way as its Chinese counterpart. It will enable registered Mi fans to contribute ideas, share feedback and take part in contests and become part of the launch events.

Xiaomi is planning to recruit 500 beta testers for now, and the selected users will get a link to join the beta community site via email.

Xiaomi's vice president Hugo Barra said that the company is bringing the popular Mi party to India. The details of the party will be announced after Mi Community goes live.

Beta testers will also have a chance to use MIUI 8 before the official release.

Recently, Xiaomi unveiled the Mi Drone in China. The design of the Mi Drone is similar to any other quadcopter drone in the market. However, the highlight of the device is its modular design which lets user detach certain parts of it, making it the first modular drone in the market.

Users can control the Xiaomi Mi Drone via a remote controller. The controller comes with a holder that can house a Xiaomi smartphone. The smartphone display can then be used as a viewfinder. The drone also comes with autonomous modes to automatically take off or land, return to home, and more.
